Nicole Jocleen

Nicole Jocleen is a journalist, author, and screenwriter. She is a military brat with roots in various places but refers to Oklahoma City as her home. After graduating from Southern University, A&M College with a BA in Print Journalism she self-published five books and wrote and produced sixteen indie films including feature, short, and series with Oklahoma based production company, Devoted Media Group. In 2023 she received the Great Plains Journalism Award for her article “Maybe We Should Change What We Eat” on the rising black vegan community in Oklahoma City published in edibleOKC. She also produced a documentary “Riding Legacy: An Oklahoma Black Cowboy Story” alongside James “VideoHero” Ridley and Kian Taylor which was shown at five film festivals including the American Black Film Festival (2023).
